Dr. Harrison defined the developmental tasks of adolescence and cultural variables that affect initiation of drug use in adolescents. She also described the relationship between developmental tasks, adolescent culture and risk for drug use and how to apply knowledge of developmental tasks and cultural variables when designing prevention and intervention strategies for adolescents.
